This Privacy Policy describes how Stackimus (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your data when you use the Stackimus website and app (collectively, the “Service”).
Stackimus is an AI-powered poker training tool designed for educational and analytical purposes only. We process limited and pseudonymised data to operate and improve our Service.
1. Data We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide, maintain, and enhance the Service. This includes:
- Account Data: When you sign up, we may collect your email address or login identifier for authentication purposes.
- Hand History Data: Hands voluntarily submitted by users for analysis or AI training. These may include pseudonymised player handles, hand actions, and outcomes.
- Opponent References: When users enter a casino name or opponent identifier, we pseudonymise this information (hashed before storage) to prevent identification of real-world players.
- Usage Analytics: We use Google Analytics on our website to understand visitor behaviour and improve user experience. Google Analytics collects anonymised data such as browser type, device, IP region (truncated), and pages visited.
We do not store any banking, payment, or personally identifying casino account information.
2. How We Use Data
- To operate and improve the Stackimus Service and its AI models.
- To provide users with aggregated insights, training feedback, and statistics.
- To maintain system security and detect misuse or abuse.
- To conduct research and improve poker education methodologies.
We never sell or rent personal data to third parties.
3. Data Pseudonymisation
Opponent identifiers (e.g., usernames or casino names) are hashed before being stored. This process makes the data pseudonymised — it cannot be linked back to real individuals without the original user input.
AI models and aggregated outputs operate exclusively on pseudonymised data.
4. Data Retention
We retain user-submitted hand histories indefinitely to strengthen collective training data and AI performance. However, users can request deletion of data associated with their account or pseudonym.
We only honour data deletion requests when the requester’s identity can be reasonably verified and when required under applicable data protection laws.
5. Your Rights Under GDPR (UK & EU)
If you are located in the UK or the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights:
- Access — to request a copy of your data.
- Rectification — to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — to request deletion of your personal data (see Section 4).
- Restriction — to limit data processing in certain circumstances.
- Portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — to object to processing in certain cases.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@stackimus.com.
6. Legal Basis for Processing
We process data under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contractual necessity — to deliver and maintain your access to the Service.
- Legitimate interest — to improve, secure, and research educational poker training tools.
- Consent — for optional analytics and marketing activities.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies for essential site functionality and analytics. Visitors can control or disable cookies through their browser settings.
Google Analytics cookies may store anonymised usage data for up to 26 months in compliance with standard data retention practices.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption and access control to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. While we strive to protect all data, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
9. Data Sharing
We may share limited data only in the following cases:
- With trusted service providers (such as hosting and analytics) bound by confidentiality agreements.
- As required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- In aggregate or anonymised form that cannot identify individuals.
10. Children's Privacy
Stackimus is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
11. International Data Transfers
Data may be stored or processed on secure servers located in the UK, EEA, or other jurisdictions that ensure adequate data protection standards under GDPR equivalence mechanisms.
